How to Build a Local Mom Creator Crew (and Actually Make Money Together)
Most moms won’t do this. But the ones who do? They’re going to win.
PSA: If you are not already creating content—this post is not for you.
I mean that with love.
This is for the moms who:
have started posting
understand what a hook is
know what a call to action is
have created at least some content (UGC, brand posts, etc.)
You don’t need to be “big.”
You just need to be in it.
What I’m about to lay out is very simple—but it only works if you actually take action.
And most people won’t.
But the moms who do this? They are going to build something very real—in their local communities and in their income.
And I am giving you EVERYTHING you need to do it. Right here in this post. So, no excuses.
Let’s get into it!
The Big Idea
Stop trying to grow alone.
Instead:
→ Find local mom creators
→ Build a small crew
→ Collaborate together
→ Earn together
This is how you turn content creation into something that actually works.
Step 1: Find Your Local Mom Creator People
They do not have to live next door or even in the same town.
Think local or:
within driving distance
surrounding towns
You’re building proximity—not perfection.
Here’s where to find them:
Local Facebook mom groups
Play spaces, kids’ classes, schools
Moms you already know who are “kind of posting”
Instagram / TikTok search (location tags + mom content)
DM creators you see nearby
You are not looking for 50 people.
Start with 2 or 3 (5 max)
That’s it.
That’s your starting mom creator crew.
I’ll include the step-by-step PDF here that you can download and literally follow along.
Step 2: Get Together (Coffee Is Enough)
Do not overcomplicate this.
You are not planning a conference.
You are:
→ picking a coffee shop or cafe (preferably local and mom-owned), or weather-permitting even a park
→ picking a time
→ showing up
That’s it.
It can be 3-5 moms total.
If it grows bigger in the future? Amazing.
If it doesn’t? Also perfect.
And yes—if you organize it, I will cover your coffee.
Because this step matters more than anything.
This is where:
relationships start
trust builds
ideas happen
collaborations begin
I’ve also seen great success when two moms team up to organize.
You don’t have to do this alone.
Step 3: Get on FameUp (This Is Where the Money Starts)
This is the engine behind everything.
To join, you need:
→ 500+ followers on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube
→ a public account
That’s it.
Once you’re in, a few things happen:
1. You Can Earn as a Creator
You can apply to campaigns and get paid for content.
2. You Get a Creator Referral Link
You can invite other moms to join.
And when you do:
You get $10
They get $10
It unlocks when they complete a campaign
But it doesn’t stop there.
You also earn from what they earn.
And when they invite others—you earn from that too.
It goes multiple levels deep.
Important: This does not come out of another creator’s money.
FameUp pays it.
Step 4: Build Your Local Network on the Platform
Now your coffee crew becomes something bigger.
You:
→ invite each other
→ invite more local moms
→ grow your network intentionally
Now you’re not just “posting content.”
You’re building a local creator ecosystem.
And you’re all:
earning
learning
participating in campaigns together
Step 5: Pitch Local Businesses Together
This is where things really shift.
Once you have your crew, you go to local businesses and say:
“We are a group of local mom creators.
We create content.
We share it.
We drive real local awareness.”
And here’s the part that makes this incredibly simple:
You are not running the campaign yourself.
You:
→ pitch the business
→ send your FameUp business referral link
→ they sign up
→ you get paid
That’s it.
How You Get Paid (This Part Matters)
If a business spends:
$500 → you make $250
$1,000 → you make $500
After $1,000:
→ you earn 10% ongoing for 12 months
You are getting paid for bringing the opportunity.
Not for managing it.
Not for chasing people.
The platform handles everything.
Why This Works (And Why It’s So Underrated)
Moms control 85% of household spending in the U.S.
Eighty. Five. Percent.
You are already influencing:
what gets bought
what gets tried
what gets talked about
Businesses need:
content
visibility
word-of-mouth
And you already have:
trust
community
influence
This is just connecting the dots.
Here is a step-by-step playbook on how to find and pitch local businesses.
What Most Moms Will Do
They’ll read this.
Think it’s a good idea.
Do nothing.
What a Small Group of Moms Will Do
They’ll:
text one other mom
set a coffee date
invite 2 more
join FameUp
start small
And in a few months?
They’ll have:
real creator friends
real collaborations
real income
If You’re Going to Do This, Start Here
Find 2–3 local mom creators
Set a coffee date (I’ll pay!)
Join FameUp
Invite your crew using your link
Start exploring campaigns
That’s it.
You don’t need a big following.
You don’t need a perfect plan.
You just need to start.
If you do this—really do this—you’re not just building a creator account.
You’re building a local network that can grow, collaborate, and earn together.
And that’s where things get interesting.
Comment with any questions!

The part that hits hardest is the "most moms won't do this" line, because the same is true for teaching kids money. Every parent I talk to agrees in theory and then stalls in practice. The moms (and kids) who build the crew, run the lemonade stand together, split the invoice, all of it, are the ones who learn learn most.
